Notes: Charles Carey was killed in action May 1, 1945 in Germany during WWI. (Program) Memorial Service for Pfc. Charles B. Carey Held at Jackson Park Church of the Brethren Sunday, November 25, 1945 Charles was killed in battle while in his tank soon after his wife sent him a letter telling him she wanted a divorce. Because of the letter, his mother received his benefits from the military.   Charles and Juanita had no children.
